Role overview:

As part of our Development team, you will build, deploy and maintain our Vue frontends. These allow our customers and colleagues to work with our entire application landscape and hotel guests make bookings and payments. You will collaborate with out backend team to decide on API design that best suits the frontends you are building using current design best practices.

What we expect:

You can contribute to the design of the user experience because you understand what the user is trying to achieve. You write tests for and document your code and can collaborate with a team on the same codebase, and can communicate about this clearly.

Our stack:

Our main tech stack is Azure oriented: the bulk of our code runs in App Services, Web Apps and Functions. We currently use Event Grid and Service Bus. Continuous Integration and Delivery is done via Azure DevOps. Our data lives in SQL or Cosmos. We use .NET 8 for our back-end applications and Vue for our frontends.

Since merging of SmartHOTEL with Hoteliers.com we are in the middle of merging our infrastructure and products as well. Currently that means we have a combination of Virtual Machines, and a Kubernetes Cluster running behind Amazon CloudFront and are looking at the best way to integrate this into the existing architecture.

Please note that our organisation and its rapid growth requires that all our new colleagues already live in the Netherlands and can reach one of our current offices within a radius of no more than 1 hour travel minutes (Randstad area). For this reason, all employees also need a valid work permit for the Netherlands and preferably knowledge of the Dutch language.
